 Guest rooms at the Barcelo Maya Beach Resort are located in five, three-story buildings each having a garden courtyard containing an oversized Mayan-inspired statue.
Rooms are cool and comfortable, with textured, cream-colored walls, and red-marble accents (desktop and vanity).
Each room has a balcony furnished with two chairs and a small table with views of the resort's lush tropical grounds and gardens. Bathrooms include a tub/shower combination and a scale. Compact refrigerators are stocked daily with beer, soft drinks, and bottled water.

The Barcelo Maya Beach Resort features two main buffets "Caribe" and "Beach" and its open for breakfast lunch and dinner. Two A la Carte restaurants "Don Quijote" and "El Agave" which serves Spanish and Mexican cuisine, open for dinner and reservations are required and formal dress code. Two snack bars restaurants "Capital Morgan" and "Rancho Grande" that serves light foods such as burgers, pizza, and salads all day. At night "Captain Morgan" becomes a disco nightclub, with light food available.

Barcelo Maya Beach/Caribe Activities
The beachfront Barcelo Maya Resort is part of the expansive Barcelo Maya complex. It features two large swimming pools each with a Jacuzzi and a swim-up bar, playground and "Mickey Maya" kid's club. Enjoy an 18-hole mini-golf course set amidst a tropical landscape, a 4-hole pitch-and-putt and a tennis complex. For shoppers, there is a significant retail-shopping arcade. There is also a well equipped open-air gym, a beauty salon and spa facility with massage room, sauna, steam rooms and a 10-person spa tub. Guests will enjoy nightly entertainment and shows in a 1200 seat open-air theater.
 Beach and Pool Fun
One pool is designated as "quiet" and one is reserved for activities and fun and features a fountain. Each pool includes a separate children's section, a swim-up bar and jetted spa section. A shaded hammock area borders both pools.
The beach is sheltered by an off-shore coral reef. The water is calm and perfect for swimming and water sports of all kinds. Sun loungers are provided and guests can easily swim to a private rock island accessible from the resort's private dock.
Bike rental, water sports instruction and motorized water sports by independent operators on the beach, childcare services (outside of regular program hours), laundry, mail and fax services, and an onsite medical center. A tour desk can arrange tours to the most interesting sites in the region. (Extra charges apply.)
Your days can be as full as you want them to be at the active all-inclusive Barcelo Maya Beach Resort. In addition to a long, beautiful beach and two oversized swimming pools with Jacuzzis and swim-up bars, guests can enjoy the tennis center, aerobics classes, and dance and Spanish lessons. Other resort activities include mini-golf, table games and organized pool and beach games. Also, a variety of included water sports including kayaks, snorkeling gear, pedal boats, windsurfers and small sailboats are available on the beach.

You'll find a sports track, pool and beach volleyball, bocce, a full gym, aerobics, basketball, mini-golf, dance classes, beach soccer, table tennis, badminton, shuffleboard, rifle shooting, darts and billiards.
In addition to the long list of included water sports, independent operators on the beach offer personal watercraft rental, ATV tours, beach horseback riding, Scuba and snorkeling instruction and excursions, jet skiing and water skiing. (Extra charges apply.)

 A supervised children's club is included for kids, 5-12 years of age. The open-air, thatched roof club palapa, "Mickey Maya", is open during the day from 9:00am to 5:00pm and is complimentary for resort guests and offers a fully supervised program of games, movies, books, contests, arts and crafts and more. The resort features a children's playground and both pools have separate children's section.
Childcare and babysitting services are available for an additional charge after club hours.

Dinners at a la carte specialty restaurants are included but may be limited to once or twice during your stay, based on number of nights you're staying at the resort. Please inquire at check-in for most current requirements.
Reservations may be required for certain water sports equipment (windsurfers and sailboats in particular) and guests may be limited to 1 hour per person per day for use of certain equipment. Please inquire at check-in for current restrictions.
Although 24-hour room service is included, there is a mandatory US$3 per item/plate surcharge on all room service orders.
Drinks are available from the mini-bar and are included with no charge. Additional mini-bar orders will incur a delivery charge.
