The Barcelo Maya Colonial and Barcelo Maya Tropical have a total of 948 Rooms (840 Standard, 96 Junior Suite, 8 Suite* and 4 Master Suite*) between the two properties.
Each room offers two double beds or one king bed, and provides Iron and Ironing Board, Telephone with Voice Mail, Mini bar, Safe, Terrace or Balcony, Satellite Television with remote, Full Bathroom with Bathtub and Separate Shower, Air Conditioning, Ceiling Fan, Bathrobes, Coffee Maker, Alarm Clock, 24 hour Room Service, Hairdryer, and Pool Front Location.

Barcelo Maya Colonial/Tropical Dining
The Barcelo Maya Colonial and Barcelo Maya Tropical offer buffet-style dining as well as a la carte dining. The two buffet restaurants are available to you for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The buffets offer a wide variety of choices suitable for the whole family to enjoy, and present different theme nights several times a week. The four a la carte specialty restaurants will be primarily available for dinner only but will offer Mediterranean-Italian, Seafood, Oriental and a Steak-House along with two beach restaurants that will offer meals during lunch and for snacks. Live shows are presented nightly in the beautiful 1,000 seat air-conditioned theatre for your entertainment. At the Barcelo Maya Colonial and Barcelo Maya Tropical, twenty-four hour room service is available at a three dollar service charge per plate.

Barcelo Maya Colonial/Tropical Activities
The Barcelo Maya Colonial Beach and Barcelo Maya Tropical Beach Resorts offer a picturesque 18-hole mini-golf course plus a fun pitch and putt course. After a workout in the open-air gym, enjoy a relaxing, revitalizing Jacuzzi or a professional massage at the health and beauty salon. Sporting facilities include a tennis center with two courts lighted for night play, two multi-sport courts and a ton of pool and beach games and water sports.
 The qualified staff at the Mini-Club has organized a full range of activities for children aged 4 to 12, including games and competitions, arts and crafts, movies, a mini-disco, mini-aerobics, and much more.
There is a playground adjacent to the Mini-Club, and all three pools have a separate roped-off area for the little ones.
The youngest guests can roam freely at this safety-conscious resort, giving parents complete peace of mind. There is also a nursery service available for the very young, for an additional fee.
