Excellence Playa Mujeres was amazing! We had a great time and loved the attention to detail this place gives. They were very accomodating to everything we asked for. Our favorite employee was Fidencio who was a bartender at the Martini Bar inside the resort's main building! All the restaurants were amazing and a great variety of food! I was very impressed by Denise! I have never used a travel agent let alone one online who I have never met. I loved that she answered every question very promptly and helped make a great choice in the Excellence resort! Her attention to my requests is what I loved about her. I have told many people about Berwick and especially Denise. We initially started with a local face to face travel agent that never returned emails or calls which is what got me to Denise via a search online! I would definitely come back to Berwick for any of my travel needs. The service was excellent and the price was much lower than my local agent! Thank you Denise for everything you did!!!

Pepe was our tour guide and he was polite, helpful and full of info on Tulum and the local cities. We especially liked the 24 hr room service which we used a lot and the many activities during the day like bike riding and pool side casino. Our vacation at Excellence Playa Mujeres was wonderful. Just as our experience at Excellence Riviera Cancun, the service and attention to detail was impeccable. We had requested a room in building 7 on an upper level floor and received exactly that. To our surprise we had an ocean view as well, we could lie in bed and see the ocean. As a returning Excellence guest; there was an Excellence beach bag, polo shirt, and hat awaiting us in our room. Excellence Resorts definitely has got the customer service thing right. Just a few quick points, the pools were amazing and very refreshing. Shade is a high priority for us and there are palapas, loungers, and beach beds everywhere. Food was abundant and delicious, we didn't have a bad meal in 7 days. Our favorite restaurants were Spice and Chez Isabelle. We ate at Spice twice during our stay, once from the teppenyaki grill and once from the regular menu. Shout out to David, bartender at the Theatre bar and Alegria disco, he did a wonderful job all week. He remembered our favorite drinks and kept them coming. We would definitelyrecommend Excellence Playa Mujeres to our friends, coworkers, and anyone that will listen. This was definitely one of our best vacation experiences and can't wait to do it again. A big thank you to Susan, for her stellar service and answering all of our questions during the booking process. We absolutely love Berwick Travel.

What a wonderful destination wedding!!!!! Denise was assigned to all of our invitees and she was so very helpful in getting everyone of our group's travel and/or room assignments. We did not have one problem and had a rather large group of 35 people that attended. The Excellence Playa Mujeres was fantastic! It was fantastic for a destination wedding. Yamina, Nyelle (the wedding planners) were so kind, accomodating, and did things to perfection. Everything was better than expected in every way. We had a rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour, photographers, the wedding, and a sit down dinner. Every meal at all of the planned activities was superior. I did not hear one complaint! The staff at the resort were so helpful, always smiling, and gave excellent service! We had many staff favorites along the beach (Victor and Marianna) and many more that we just loved for the week + that we were there. The bellman and every single staff member we ran across was really attentive and helpful! We even had to go to the Emergency Room in Cancun and it was a stressful situation. The staff was very good in that situation as well. We would and will go back in the future!!!!!

This was our 3rd trip to an Excellence Resort and this resort lived up to it's name "Excellence". The layout of Excellence Playa Mujeres was very easy to get around. There were pool areas that were more private for those who prefer to be away from the activities. For those who like to be active, they had plenty of activities going on each day (try an ocean kayak or a sail on their three Hobie Cat catamarans or go scuba diving with their excellent program (scuba is extra cost, but very reasonable) .
The main pool area had plenty of places to lay out. Out of all the resorts we've ever been to, Excellence Playa Mujeres had more palapas/sheltered areas both around the pools and on the beach. We never felt like we had to run out early in the morning in order to get a good seat-and the resort was pretty well booked for that week. There were several areas to get towels and they kept fresh ones out there throughout the day.
I don't know what kind of screening the employees at Excellence Playa Mujeres have to go through, but every encounter we had-from the cleaning people to the wait staff, to the pool area, beach area, water sports all the way up to management-was nothing but professional. They were so friendly, polite, helpful and just the right sense of humor.
All of the eight dinner restaurants (Mediterrean, Italian, Asian, French, Steak, Mexican, Tappas, and Seafood (lobster is outstanding!) were superb. There are 3 restaurants available for Breakfast and lunch are excellent as well. There are too many bars to name, opening at 9:00 AM and staying open until very late. If for some reason you can't make it to the 8 dinner restaurants, the 24 hour room service is also outstanding! The FREE mini-mar stocked with all your favorites makes it easy to enjoy a drink out on your balcony without having to dress for dinner.
Excellence Playa Mujeres has nightly entertainment in the huge and plush theater area. The shows are professional and excellent quality, we especially enjoyed the Michael Jackson tribute (MJ impersonator is one of the best we have seen) and the circus (with International performers including some of the best gymnasts we have ever seen from Cuba).
We will definitely recommend Excellence Playa Mujeres to our friends and we hope to return (why mess with perfection!) This is not the first time we've used Berwick Travel. Kelly has done a great job even when we had a big group (5 couples) going from different locations and meeting up, we all had a positive experience. We also used Kelly to arrange our daughter's honeymoon. Kelly has been a pleasure to work with in setting up our plans and we will continue to request her help with future trips.

This was our seventh visit to Excellence Playa Mujeres and we were not disapointed. We have traveled the world and have finally found our "home away from home". Spending time at the Excellence Playa Mujeres is like paradise on earth, we are treated like royalty from the moment we arrive until the last hug good-bye. The staff now feels more like family then friends, they are wonderful people. The food is exceptional, the layout of the resort is perfect, the pools awesome and the beach is lovely. This year we hope to spend three weeks at the Excellence Playa Mujeres, and still that seems like not long enough, I can never say enough about how fortunate we are to have found such a gem.

Excellence Playa Mujeres was the best vacation experience we have ever had, and we are very well seasoned travelers. From walking up the steps to enter the resort, to walking back down upon departure the staff was attentive and friendly. Not an unhappy employee to be found! They were all very respectful and were sure to use our last names the next time they greeted us.
We enjoyed all of the restaurants with excellent menu choices and presentation matching the well balanced flavors of gourmet prepared food. All the chefs are to be commended. We became especially fond of one particular waiter, A lfonso who seemed to appear at each restaurant we were eating. About halfway through our trip he would show up at our breakfast table right after being seated with exactly what he knew we liked to drink. And, at a table of four persnickety adults each having very specific desires, we were impressed with his attention to detail. We cannot wait to see him again next year.
We are also impressed with the cleanliness and constant diligence to strive for perfection by the maintenance and housekeeping staff. Throughout the day and night you see people cleaning and maintaining every aspect of the resort, from your room to common areas and pools. Nothing was ever left unattended.
Upon returning home, I have already forwarded the Excellence Playa Mujeres website on to several friends and family and recommended they use Berwick to make the arrangements. Kelly with Berwick was extraordinarily helpful. She was recommended to us by our Uncle and Aunt who were also going on this trip with us to celebrate my Uncle's 60th birthday. When we had to adjust our dates after booking she went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The transfers from the airport to resort went extremely smooth and went without a hitch. We couldn't have been more spoiled or happy on this kind of vacation!

The resort is gorgeous; the food is good to excellent; the pools were cold (it is January); the staff is fabulous and really makes the experience special. Excellence Playa Mujeres was, well as the name states, nothing but Excellence. The staff were all very pleasant, the food was good, the pools were great, and the beach was fine although there was plenty of what we would term sea grass; however, the beach maintenance people were working hard to clean it up. Lois, the beach waiter, was a trip. We made a special trip to the beach our last day to say goodbye.
Breakfast at Barcelona every morning was super. Toscana for an Italian dinner was our favorite. We would absolutely recommend Excellence Playa Mujeres to others. The room was great; however, we were in building 4 which may have been a little further away from the beach and main pool, but it offered the privacy we liked. We only have one comment about the spa and hydrotherapy - AWESOME!
We would highly recommend having the photographer take pictures on the beach. We had them take our pictures and ended up purchasing 12 of them for what we thought was a very fair price. We were able ! to look at them the next day and had a CD made, so we can make as many copies as we would like. It will make a nice honeymoon album.
Susan at Berwick Travel was very timely with every aspect of the arrangements and email communications. I did ask about the cost of golf but did not hear anything back which is fine because we were not sure about golfing anyway....maybe next time. In conclusion, our Honeymoon will be remembered for all of time for sure!

There were full bottles of liquor in the room and we changed them to the liquor we preferred. Food was great, room service great. The beach was good up until Hurricane Ida, the storm churned up the sea grass and the beach was closed for two days so they could clean it up. Pool servers and beach servers were all excellent. I would definitely recommend this resort to others.

The room was the best in the resort, with amazing views. We had a very nice private transfer to and from the airport and resort. Lomas Agency was very accomodating and reliable. My husband and I stayed at Excellence Playa Mujeres to celebrate our 7-year wedding anniversary. We could not have been more pleased. The rooms were large, comfortable and very well appointed. The selection of food from their 8 restaurants was wonderful. The staff was extremely helpful and the spa was one of the best I have experienced. We will definitely return and will most certainly book through Tracy.

We all had a great time at Excellence Playa Mujeres!  When we checked in they upgraded us to an oceanview room in building 8 with the Excellence Club – all 4 of us.  My in-laws enjoyed going there for a quiet place to meet people and have a cocktail while watching the news.  It was really windy nearly everyday, but warm.  It was in the 70’s and 80’s most of the time.  The pools were almost too cold to enjoy at this time of year (December), but the ocean was warm and made use of the kayaks and catamarans.  The watersport staff – Abraham, Roberto, and others were very warm and helpful.  Stan booked a couple of diving trips through them.
The restaurants at Excellence Playa Mujeres were all fabulous.  All of the staff went out of their way to make everything special.  One night we went into the Flavor Market and asked if we could just have dessert and coffee there since we had already had dinner.  They brought us in, gave us a table, and proceeded to bring out a sampler platter of every dessert they had!  When I had asked about what one of the special profiterole’s contained, they brought out the chef to speak with us!  Then the manager made a paper rose for my mother-in-law.  That is just one example of the special effort the staff made.  We hated to leave.  We began to feel like part of the family after a few days. 
The activities staff had quite a few fun things I participated in, such as Texas hold em lessons, aquaerobics, rifle shooting, bicycle tour, salsa dancing lessons.  The gym was packed with brand new fabulous equipment, which we should have used more…
We went to the spa frequently.  It was beautiful, and it was really nice because if you had a treatment such as a massage, you had full use of the hydrotherapy pool and treatment, and the husbands were able to use it too after the wives had their treatments! Is there anything else I can tell you about Excellence Playa Mujeres??
