Excellence Punta Cana was really great, the staff was just amazing. The French and 'Oregano' restaurants were our favorite, but the food elsewhere was ok too. We had some food that didn't agree with us, but it was when we went way outside our comfort zone. Once we started getting simpler meals similar to home we were fine. The bed was hard but my husband and I didn't ask about getting a pillow top, which afterward I was told was possible so that was our own fault. It was very windy so we couldn't use any of the watersports but the pool was awesome. The resort is well designed so even though it is fairly large you feel that it is smaller. The spa was fantastic and the activities we went to were all well planned and executed. We were upgraded to Excellence Club when we arrived which was great. When booking I wasn't sure if it was worth it or not and while I'm still on the edge because of the price it was really really nice to have. A laid back breakfast in the lounge with a solid internet connection (it was sporadic elsewhere) and coming back for a good after dinner drink was really nice. Also the club beach has beds/mattresses like you see in commercials that were not on the rest of the beach and they were very nice. It was not really busy when we went, but I do wish the water was calmer so we could have gone snorkeling or kayaking. Only other thing was I wish I'd known it was an hour from the airport but only because we didn't eat before taking off and we were very hungry by the time we got there. The drive did let us see some of the country though that was interesting. Overall I would definitely use Berwick Travel again and would recommend Excellence Punta Cana!

Everything at Excellence Punta Cana was wonderful. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, the resort as a whole was breathtaking. I would highly recommend this resorts to couples. It's a great place for a honeymoon, anniversary or just to spend time with the one you love. Susan at Berwick recommended this place a few years back which is why we went there again.

Excellence Punta Cana was wonderful. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Each restaurant we ate at was very good. We enjoyed the cascade pool simply because it was quieter and more relaxing. Jose in the Sports Bar was always helpful and very friendly. It was enjoyable to spend time in the sports bar area knowing he would be there to help us. We enjoyed the shows. Amy with VIP was super helpful with excursions. She was wonderful in her recommendations.

I was concerned that Excellence Punta Cana would not compare well to our previous trip to Royal Hideaway in Mexico, but it did!! The resort itself is very lovely and very clean, well laid out, gorgeous pool and beautiful beach with the softest sand I’ve ever walked on – best beach I’ve ever seen and experienced.
The staff was friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious with many, many options and the drinks were very much enjoyed by all. Did not experience one bad meal!!
Perfect destination for those pool/beach lovers seeking luxurious surroundings, really good food, drinks and relaxing atmosphere. Not for those seeking to be constantly entertained.
