Required documents for civil weddings:
Photocopy of birth certificate and translation into Spanish
Photocopy of passport of the couple and of the witnesses *
Declaration of single status, translated into Spanish and notarized
Original divorce decree translated into Spanish and legalized

Documents need to be translated and legalized by the Dominican embassy,
*Passports don’t need to be legalized or translated. Just copy of them is needed

Required documents for catholic weddings:
Photocopy of birth certificate
Photocopy of passports of the couple and the witnesses
Catholic baptism certificate
Confirmation certificate
Permission of the couple’s parish to get married in another country and a certificate of the priest.
