Festival del Alebrije in Huatulco
Head to Dreams Huatulco or Secrets Huatulco and experience a one-of-a-kind cultural celebration! Festival del Alebrije honors the Oaxacan artists and their brightly colored folk art sculptures of fantastical creatures (Alebrijes). Events include a fashion show, mezcal tastings, gourmet experiences and a tremendous display from local artists (including the famous Jacobo and Maria Angeles who inspired the Alebrijes in the Disney-Pixar movie Coco).
