Nickelodeon Riviera Maya, the newest family-centric all-inclusive, is now open in the Riviera Maya!
Karisma, along with Mexico’s Grupo Lomas hospitality group, this week officially welcomed guests to its newest property, the Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya location, the first Nickelodeon location in Mexico.
The resort includes the brand’s first all oceanfront swim-up suite resort, a six-acre Aqua Nick water park, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles penthouse suites, and much more.
“Following the great success of the Punta Cana resort, we wanted to bring the Nickelodeon experience to Mexico, building one of the most anticipated hotels in Riviera Maya for families,” said Dolores López Lira, President and Founder of Grupo Lomas.
“With industry-setting standards like rooms built for families of five, coupled with the unparalleled character immersions created here, all underscored by Karisma Hotels & Resorts’ five-star hospitality, this fan-favorite destination truly raises the bar. It is incredible to see the smiles on kids’ faces from the moment they walk in the lobby and are transported into the captivating world of Nickelodeon.”
Here’s a preview of what guests can expect.
Nickelodeon Riviera Maya Accommodations
In total, the resort offers 280 oceanfront swim-up suites, each one with 581-square-feet of room, and two full bathrooms along with an oversized balcony, that can accommodate families of five.
The resort also offers three distinct styles of suites:
- The Big Kahuna Suite: a 3,000-square-feet, two-bedroom suite that’s filled with custom, nostalgic pieces from Nickelodeon’s 90’s heyday including neon artwork from Ren & Stimpy, a Loud House-themed kids bedroom, and more.
- The Lair Suite: a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle-themed suite, the seven-guest, 3,000-square-foot Lair Suite pays homage to the iconic TMNT team. The suites include indoor and outdoor living and dining areas, a Master Suite with a spa-inspired bathroom, a 710-square-foot terrace, in-suite butlers, and more.
- The Pineapple Suite: one of the most popular suites in Karisma’s collection, the Pineapple suite was first featured at the inaugural Nickelodeon property in Punta Cana. The suite takes inspiration from Spongebob’s home in Bikini Bottom and includes 3,000-square-feet of indoor and outdoor living space, private butlers, and more.
Nickelodeon Riviera Maya Dining
Aside from 24-hour in-room dining, the resort also offers even more Nickelodeon inspiration in its dining experiences.
Dining options include Good Burger (inspired by the Nickelodeon 90’s show), Piazza (inspired by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), and Le Spatula (inspired by SpongeBob SquarePants’ home in Bikini Bottom).
The resort will also offer some adult-beverage options at three different bars—The Bikini Bottom Bar and Gourmet Corner and two swim-up bars, Cosmo & Wanda.
Nickelodeon Riviera Maya Activities
The highlight of the resort is the six-acre Aqua Nick water park, one of the largest themed water parks in Mexico with 2,000-square-feet of slides and 1,820-square-feet of river rides.
The park includes an activity pool, a 59-foot-high Soak Summit tower, an area for younger children called Paw Patrol Adventure Bay, a Bikini Bottom Beach water playground, and more.
A day at the park wouldn’t be complete without “the ultimate Nickelodeon honor,” a daily super sliming.
More activities and amenities are expected to be added to the resort as it continues its opening into the fall. The Na´ay Spa, a seafront fitness center, and its daily activities and entertainment offerings will debut in October.
Club Nick, a play zone for kids, and the SNICK Lounge, a hangout area for older kids, will also debut later this year.
